- This is the oldest residential building in Fukui Prefecture. Based on its architectural style, it may date back to the late medieval period or the early Edo period (1600-1650). The roof is designed in the Irimoya style, with the gable end featuring a wooden post-and-beam structure, thatched with reed, while the exterior is covered with cedar bark. The main pillars are made of chestnut wood, making this a valuable structure that provides insight into the lifestyle of local feudal lords of that time.
