Hiroshima, the "City of Water," has six rivers flowing through the city center and about 3,000 bridges of various designs are over them. The suspension bridge with wooden floorboards.

Located in the city center, the garden was built in commemoration of the affiliation of Sister Cities between Hiroshima and Hannover, Germany.

In the museum building, there are planetarium, Children Library, Science exhibition and show stage and Apollo Hall (250 seats).

The building has a wave-shaped roof. 3,078 seats. June to Sept., 50 meters long swimming pool and a diving pool (depth 5m). Nov. through April, Skating links (main 60m×30m, sub 18m×30m)　

The exterior has a white tube-like design with several round windows. When viewed from the platform, the light coming in through the round windows is very impressive.
