- Description
- The New Kawaguchi Bridge, originally built across the Nakashima River in 1890, was moved to the east side of Dejima and became the current Dejima Bridge in 1910. It is the oldest road bridge still in use today. The bridge was designated by the Japan Society of Civil Engineers (JSCE) as JSCE Civil Engineering Heritage in 2003.
