- Construction costs covered by donations from prefectures belonging to Sasebo Naval District (12 prefectures in the Kyushu, Shikoku, and Okinawa regions), this decorative hall was built in 1923. After the war, it was used as an amusement facility for the U.S. Forces. It then became the center of cultural activities after it was retroceded to the community.
