- Description
- The ruins of Takamatsu Castle, also called Tamamo Castle, is now the Tamamo Park. The castle site has been a National Historic Site since 1955, and the castle is known for being one of three castles in Japan to use seawater moats, thus considered one of the “Three Great Water Castles of Japan." Inside the park is the reconstructed building “Hiunkaku,” which boasts a beautiful blend of Japanese tradition and Western techniques. It has been designated an Important Cultural Property of Japan.
