- It is built along the sloping land at the foot of Mt. nishihoubun. It is said that a settlement was formed in Yoshishikihata at the end of the Muromachi period. The height difference of the village is close to 200m, and farming activities are still being carried out on the steep slopes with about 150 terraced rice fields. It has been selected as one of the top 20 terraced rice fields in Yamaguchi.
