- Rising to 1,218 meters, Mount Hakubasen is the highest peak in Shinjo Village. With no tall trees at the summit, the landscape opens dramatically, offering sweeping views of the sacred Mount Daisen and, on clear days, even the distant Yumigahama coastline in Tottori Prefecture.
In May, the ridge trail leading to the summit is especially celebrated for its beautiful katakuri (dogtooth violet) blossoms.
