Description: This merchant residence prospered as a fertilizer wholesaler from the Edo period through the early Showa era (1603–1945). Its white plaster walls and mushiko-mado lattice windows—distinctive features of traditional machiya townhouses—remain beautifully preserved, evoking a strong sense of historical atmosphere.

In September 2011, the building was reopened as Takasago Kiteminka, serving as a community hub dedicated to regional revitalization and cultural exchange.
