- This scenic forest road runs along the slopes of Mount Kodakamiyama (922 meters) in the Kohoku–Kinomoto area, a region that once flourished as a center of Buddhist culture and still retains numerous historical ruins.
With many deciduous trees, the scenery is especially beautiful with fresh greenery in spring and vibrant autumn foliage. Though the mountain is relatively low, it receives heavy snowfall in winter.
