Description: This facility preserves and displays traditional buildings relocated from across Kanazawa and Ishikawa Prefecture. The collection includes an Edo‑period (1603–1867) merchant’s machiya townhouse, the residence of a wealthy merchant versed in the tea ceremony, samurai houses once occupied by lower‑ranking warriors and ashigaru (foot soldiers), and thatched‑roof farmhouses from throughout Ishikawa.

All buildings have been designated cultural properties and faithfully preserve the architectural styles and atmosphere of their respective eras.
