Description: Completed in 1936, this historic building showcases the characteristics of the early Showa period (1926–1941) in both its exterior and interior. It continues to function as an active office building. As one of the few pre-World War II structures remaining in Toyama, its heavy tiled exterior has become symbolic of the "Showa Office Building." The building includes medium and large halls, a restaurant, offices, and conference rooms. Finished in April 1936, it has continuously witnessed Toyama's history and modern development and is regarded as a city landmark. The southern and northern entrances retain a reception-hall-like appearance and are registered as tangible cultural properties by the national government.
