- The building was completed in 1938 and designed by Oe Kokufu, a renowned authority in traditional Japanese architecture known for projects such as the Meiji Jingu Treasure Museum. Constructed with premium materials, including solid Japanese cypress, the property features single-story Japanese-style guest rooms arranged to face the southeast garden.
In recognition of its architectural elegance and exemplary traditional craftsmanship, it was designated a Registered Tangible Cultural Property of Japan in 2008.
