- Set against the majestic backdrop of Mount Adatarayama, this natural-style garden spans approximately 30,000 tsubo (about 10 hectares) and is adjacent to the clear-flowing Gohyakugawa River.
The blooming season begins in April, bringing a colorful array of water butterbur, daffodils, plums, cherries, forsythias, flowering peaches, and Genkai azaleas. May introduces moss phlox, primulas, wisteria, azaleas, and rhododendrons, while from early summer through September, irises, hydrangeas, water lilies, lotuses, roses, crape myrtles, and bush clovers flourish along the water’s edge. Autumn transforms the landscape with brilliant maple and ginkgo foliage, while winter offers a serene, snow-covered scene.
One of the garden’s greatest charms is its ever-changing seasonal beauty, centered around a pond fed by pure spring water and surrounded by lush greenery.
