- Mizusawa Racecourse, located in Mizusawa, Oshu City, Iwate Prefecture, Japan, offers views of the Kitakami River to the front, Mount Tabashine to the right—associated with Yoshitsune legends—and Mount Hayachine to the left, regarded as the birthplace of Kagura. The flat dirt track measures 1,200 meters per lap, running clockwise, and hosts a variety of races including major graded events. Around the outer perimeter of the grounds, over 150 Somei Yoshino cherry trees line approximately 800 meters, allowing visitors to enjoy both horse racing and cherry blossoms from certain sections of the stands during the spring meeting.
