- Description
- Tsunekiyo Residence is a full-scale reconstruction of the home of Fujiwara no Tsunekiyo, a late Heian-period warrior and son-in-law of Abe no Sadato. In the mid-11th century, while serving as an official of the Mutsu Provincial Government, Tsunekiyo moved to Esashi and built this residence. Known as the “First Toyoda Residence,” it features a thatched roof and includes a main hall, kitchen, stable, and guardhouse.
