Cape Esan Lighthouse Park was developed around the Cape Esan Lighthouse which marks the boundary between the Pacific Ocean and Tsugaru Straits.

The park attracts large numbers of city residents in spring for the blooming of its 130 cherry trees, and in autumn for its magnificent fall colors.

Midori-no-Shima is an 8-hectare artificial island constructed within the Port of Hakodate.
