History museum opened in 2004.

The former building is now Ogi folk museum.

Has a collection of artworks by the artists associated with Bungo area, commencing with Wasaku Kobayashi.

It includes former Nagahama station building, Nagahama Railway Culture Center and Hokuriku line electrified museum.

There are a citizen gallery, lecture rooms, large exhibition halls on the 2nd floor in the museum and also outside theater accommodating approximately 300 people.
