Sendai mediatheque is a center for activities in the fields of art and film, serving as a public facility.

Reference materials regarding men of letters, such as Bansui Doi and Toson Shimazaki, and their works as associated with Miyagi Prefecture, are proudly displayed.

Shellcom Sendai was the first roof-covered multi-sport complex in the prefecture. Here, city residents can enjoy playing such sports as soccer, tennis, and baseball.
