- This cave was formed over thousands of years by the erosion caused by spring water in the Kirishima mountain range. It measures 13.8 meters in width and 8.6 meters in height, with a confirmed length of 224 meters. The widest part of the interior spans about 40 meters, featuring an arched ceiling. Additionally, traces of human habitation from the Jomon period have been discovered inside the cave, providing insight into life during that era. Designated as a natural monument by the prefecture in 1955, it has also gained attention as a spiritual power spot.
