- On the eastern coast of Yoron Island, surrounded by coral reefs, Ogane-ku Coast is known for its shallow, sandy beach. About 1.5 kilometers offshore, a sandbar called Yuri Beach emerges only at low tide. Visitors can reach the sandbar by glass-bottom boat, and staff are usually present during the summer months from June to September. According to legend, collecting star-shaped sand grains equal to one's age brings happiness.
