- From this point, you can look out over the former Hondo city area, with views stretching north toward Mount Unzen Fugen and south toward the islands scattered across the Shiranui Sea.
The park is home to about 100 cherry trees, including Kawazu‑zakura, and from early February to early April the observation deck offers sweeping views of the city framed by blossoms in full bloom. A trekking course is also available for visitors to enjoy a light hike.
