Description: This multipurpose dam is situated on the Kase River, originating in the Sefuri Mountain Range in Saga City. The river flows south through mountainous areas, traverses the Saga Plain, and eventually empties into the Ariake Sea. Adjacent to the dam is Japan's only dam station, "Dam Station Fuji Shakunage no Sato," which offers a direct sales store showcasing locally-produced agricultural and livestock products, as well as a restaurant where guests can enjoy meals while taking in views of the lake.
