- Yuge Island, Kamijima Town, Ehime Prefecture. The Kamiyuge area features well-preserved historic streets, including the registered tangible cultural property of the Tasaka family. During the Kamakura period(1185-1336), it became part of the Toji estate in Kyoto and earned the name "Salt Estate" for offering salt as tribute.
