- Description
- The Former Goten Water Source was built as a water purification plant in 1921. In 1985, the Ministry of Health and Welfare (at the time) selected the buildings of the Goten Water Source as one of the "Top 100 Modern Waterworks" of Japan. The warehouse, the ditch east manhole, the north gate pillar, and the retaining wall were registered as Tangible Cultural Properties of Japan. In addition, the canister room is used as the Takamatsu City Waterworks Museum.
