- This is the northernmost waterfall in Okayama Prefecture. Because visitors can view the clear water from behind the falls, it is also known as an Urami‑no‑taki (“Behind‑the‑Falls Waterfall”).
Although modest in size—about 10 meters high and 6 meters wide—the waterfall is celebrated for the picturesque beauty of its surroundings throughout the seasons. In winter, the falling water freezes into a spectacular ice formation.
