- Kansuien Garden is a traditional strolling‑style garden centered around a pond measuring approximately 32 meters east–west and 40 meters north–south.
A garden gate stands at the center of the eastern side, while the teahouse Nanzanso occupies the southwestern edge. Three artificial hills encircle the pond, each crowned with a feature: a southern waiting arbor, a five‑story pagoda, and a northern waiting arbor.
Nearly 30 stone lanterns and stone pagodas are placed throughout the grounds, along with historical elements such as the railing from Okamogawa Bridge, an old Osaka milestone, and a striking red‑brick chimney.
On the hillside of Suido‑yama, visible beyond Nanzanso on the south side of the pond, stands a thirteen‑story pagoda. The garden is richly planted with around 400 flowering trees and shrubs, including wisteria trellises, creating seasonal beauty throughout the year.
