- This mountain, standing at 1,510 meters on the border of Yabu City in Hyogo Prefecture and Wakasa Town in Yazu County, Tottori Prefecture, has earned its place among Japan's Two Hundred Famous Mountains and the 50 Mountains of Hometown Hyogo. In winter, its heavy snowfall makes it a favorite for snow mountain climbing, backcountry skiing, and snowboarding enthusiasts. As the highest peak in Hyogo Prefecture, it offers breathtaking scenic spots perfect for photography, showcasing lush greenery in summer, vibrant autumn foliage, and glistening rime ice in winter. The summit is adorned with a grassland of Chishimazasa (a type of bamboo grass), which transforms into a vast snowfield during winter, highlighting the mountain's seasonal charm. Along the climbing path, hikers can enjoy a majestic beech forest. The summit also features a bio toilet and an emergency hut, which serve as convenient resting points.
