- Jinya is a type of administrative headquarters in the Tokugawa Shogunate during the Edo Period. The Kaibara Jinya was built in 1714 as the residence for Kaibara's feudal clan lord (Nobunaga Oda's younger brother, Nobukane) and his descendants. The surviving palace building was rebuilt in 1820 after the Jinya was burned down in 1818. Kaibara Jinya has been designated an National Historic Site.
