Description: This is a building that mixes Japanese and Western styles, constructed in 1918 by Yamamoto-san, who served as the head of the Aboshi Bank and the mayor of Aboshi district in Himeji City. The building features an ornate reception room adorned with inlay work, a splendid study with stained glass, and a three-story observatory with a black wall visible beyond the earthen fence. The Aboshi district, having escaped wartime destruction, still retains numerous valuable old-fashioned streetscapes.
