- Gakuto (commonly known as “Michikusa-no-Eki Gakuto” opened on May 8, 2010, as a facility for the citizens of Kanie Town to visit, meet, and socialize freely so that the town of Kanie can develop through various activities of its people. It is currently being used for hobby gatherings, exhibitions, Chinese and English language lessons, cooking classes, and ceramics classes. Local handmade vegetables and lunches prepared by one-day chefs are available on some days. There is also a shop where the local mascot character Kanimaru’s goods can be bought, and information on town events and government releases are posted here.
