- Seiunji Temple is a Zen temple of Rinzai Buddhism, founded in 1348 by Gokkai. It is famous for the wooden seated statue of Fuo Kokushi which is a National Important Cultural Asset as well as the beautiful rock garden behind the kuri (residence building) which has been designated as a Place of Scenic Beauty by Yamanashi Prefecture.
