- Hokojima is located on the Echizen Coast in Minamisugocho, Fukui City, approximately 5 kilometers along National Route 305 from Takasu Beach toward Koshino. It features a columnar rock formation about 50 meters high, shaped by the rough waves of the Sea of Japan, and is accompanied by a well-maintained promenade. Pine trees grow along the cliffs, and Jizo statues are enshrined there. During summer days, the area bustles with beachgoers and rock fishers, while in the evening, visitors can witness the beautiful sunset sinking beyond the Sea of Japan.
