- The waterfall has a drop of about 60 meters and was designated as one of the '100 Famous Waterfalls of Japan' in 1990. The view of the waterfall from just below the steps is spectacular. Additionally, the autumn foliage offers a beauty not seen in the summer. There is a parking lot located about 200 meters upstream of the waterfall. Access may be restricted during snowfall (typically from late November or December through the end of March).
