- This bridge spans the densely wooded Asuwagawa River Gorge, measuring 44 meters in length, 1.8 meters in width, and 12 meters in height. It is one of Japan’s rare vine suspension bridges, offering a unique swaying motion that adds an exceptional thrill. Legend has it that pledging your love on this bridge will bring eternal happiness.
At the watermill square located at the base of the vine bridge, cherry blossoms (Somei Yoshino) bloom around mid-April, followed by the "Gyoiko" in early May and the town flower, rhododendron, in mid-May. Additionally, from late October to early November, visitors can enjoy the breathtaking autumn foliage that colors the gorge.
