- This Western-style building, blending Japanese and Western elements from the Taisho era, was built in 1928. Designed by Sadaharu Yokoi (according to hearsay), it was selected as one of Toyama's 100 Architectural Landmarks in September 1990 and designated a registered tangible cultural property by the national government in May 2001. Over time, its retro charm has only deepened.
