- This residence served as the official home of a Kaga Domain magistrate and was built in the late Edo period (late 18th–mid‑19th century).
The property covers approximately 1.3 acres and includes buildings in the traditional style of a wealthy farmer’s residence, along with an earthen storehouse (kura). The garden, richly planted with trees and greenery, creates a calm and refined atmosphere.
Three structures, the main house, the front gate, and the storehouse, are designated Important Cultural Properties of Japan.
