- Located around a 15-minute drive from Nagaoka Station's east exit, at the foot of the nature-rich Higashiyama, this is a popular general play area for parents and children. On weekends, the pony square, small zoo, and trim playground equipment attract many families. The highlight is the Nagaoka Municipal Ski Resort. Despite its compact size, it offers 10 courses, making it easily accessible as a family-friendly slope close to the city. Additionally, the slope can be enjoyed for summer skiing and summer bobsledding outside of the winter season (the summer skiing slope is Japan's longest at 450 meters).
