- This long-established inn is a hallmark of Shima Onsen, standing impressively beyond a red bridge. Founded in 1694, it is the oldest existing hot spring inn in Japan and has been designated as an important cultural asset by the prefecture. The large bath, "Genroku no Yu," features five stone bathtubs with arched windows.
