- Located at an elevation of 600–700 meters on the western slopes of Mt. Akagi, this forest offers a chance to experience Japan’s four distinct seasons—from spring blossoms and lush summer greenery to autumn foliage and the calls of wild birds in winter.
Of the total 120‑hectare area, 60 hectares remain closed to the public, preserving a pristine natural environment. The forest has been used as a filming location for commercials and television dramas, making it ideal for productions set in woodland landscapes.
