- This funicular railway, in operation since 1962, connects Hototogisu Station in the hot spring district with Miharashi Station at an elevation of 955 meters in about four minutes.
From Miharashi Station, visitors can walk to the observation deck in Uenoyama Park—known for its excellent views—as well as the Gunma Prefectural Sports Center Ikaho Skating Rink, one of the largest skating facilities in Japan.
