- Description
- Tokusuien was established in 1957 as a memorial garden to commemorate the completion of the first cylindrical water distributor and to honor the pioneers of the Isawa Plain’s development. The garden features the largest cylindrical water distributor in Japan, which plays an essential role in distributing irrigation water. Located along National Route 397, it is also famous for its approximately 600 Somei Yoshino cherry trees, which bloom spectacularly in spring. During the flowering season, nighttime illuminations create a magical atmosphere, while in winter, the snow-covered tree-lined road is affectionately called Silver Road, offering scenic beauty throughout the year.
