- Description
- Kiku Falls is distinguished by the confluence of two streams merging into a single cascade. In spring, cherry blossoms bloom, while in autumn, the foliage turns vibrant, offering seasonal beauty. The name “Kiku” (chrysanthemum) is said to derive from the clusters of chrysanthemums blooming along the western bank. According to local legend, around 1188 (Bunji era), the famed warrior Minamoto no Yoshitsune and his wife visited the site, leaving poems behind. Combining natural beauty and historical lore, it provides a poetic filming location.
