- This private residence of Segawa Yasugoro, a prominent political and business figure of the Meiji period (1868–1912), features a garden designated as a protected garden by the city.
The pond occupies roughly one‑third of the garden and is the largest and deepest among pond gardens in the city. The grounds are regarded as the city’s finest example of a strolling‑style landscape garden with varied scenery.
Many mature trees over 50 years old stand throughout the property, creating a rich and tranquil natural setting.
