Description: Taisho Pond in Tonebetsu Natural Park has been used as a valuable source of agricultural water for more than 100 years, but as the embankment caved in due to deterioration, a new embankment was constructed for landscape maintenance. It has been in its current shape since 1995. It is easily accessible, about 10 minutes from Iwamizawa Station and about an hour by car from New Chitose Airport, and not only the pond but also the virgin forest within the park are attractive!
